Three Delicious Spice Rubs

So What is a Spice Rub?

  • A Spice Rub is a mixture of spices that you rub on raw food before it is cooked. Whilst you can of course always make your spice rub fresh, there is absolutely no reason why you can’t have it ready in advance. That way, you’re food prep becomes even less hassle and in fact more enjoyable. It just then becomes so easy to throw food together, but have it come out tasting delicious. It in fact takes away a whole load of prep time. Hence you will be glad you did it, even if it takes a second to begin with.

You can use these Three Delicious Spice Rubs with so many different dishes. And so why not experiment a little? Try adding them in to dishes you have been preparing for years, and see if they surely don’t add a little extra flavor and interest. Regardless, having them ready will speed up your food prep no end. You’re undoubtedly going to feel like a super organised chef!

Keeping it Fresh for your Three Delicious Spice Rubs

  • Firstly, store your spices in glass containers. Plastic is ok, but it just doesn’t cut the mustard, if you’ll pardon the pun.
  • Secondly, make sure your spices are stored away from heat. It’s all too easy to end up with them right above the stove…and that won’t work of course…for obvious reasons…!
  • Finally, don’t be tempted to put spices in the fridge. Because it can cause the flavor to alter, or they can even grow mold. Basically…just yuk!

I Can’t Spice Up My Life Enough!

So, I have to admit, I am a bit obsessed with my spice rack. I like to keep them all organised and looking so lovely. If you like this look, check the spice rack out on Amazon here. However if that’s not available, or you prefer a different style, there are plenty of other options about to choose from. I just generally love the way the colors look on the shelf in the kitchen. It so gives me a kick to see them all there ready to flavor the food with. Now, you might not be as particularly obsessed as I am, but I challenge you to line up all your spices neatly and not get a sense of satisfaction! Go on…because I dare you!
