I know, I know…I’m a chef so I shouldn’t admit to loving fast food. But when it comes down to it, we all have our guilty food pleasures, and one of mine is a Taco Bell Pizza. I kind of can’t resist it, so I decided to make my own. That was actually before it became one of the most sought-after pizzas around…

The Taco Bell Pizza Craze

In 2020 Taco Bell announced that they were removing pizza from the menu. It came back for a short while this year and customers apparently surprised the chain when they dashed to immediately buy it. I hear we are getting it back permanently later this year…but just in case, here is a recipe you can use. you no longer run the risk of not getting your favorite pizza dish. Crisis, averted!

TACO BELL PIZZA

This Taco Bell Mexican pizza copycat recipe is so crunchy and full of flavor, you’ll never want to go to the drive-thru again! Gather a few simple ingredients and your favorite toppings, and you’ll have a quick dinner the whole family will love!

Ingredients

vegetable oil

1 pound of ground beef

1 packet of taco bell seasoning or any taco seasoning

1 can (15 oz) of refried beans

1 can (10 oz) enchilada sauce

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

1 1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend

8 flour tortillas, taco size

Fresh Cilantro

Sliced Jalapeno

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan and fry the tortilla until crispy. Drain some oil.

2. Cook meat with taco bell seasoning for 5-10 mins. Heat refried beans. set aside.

3. Place the non-cooked tortilla on a sheet pan, top with refried beans, and taco meat, and top with the crispy tortilla, top with enchilada sauce, cheese, and some diced tomatoes.

4. Bake for 5-7 minutes, top with jalapeno and cilantro.
