Ingredients
Cranberry Sticks
One package of fresh cranberries
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup cold water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
For the puree
1/4 cup granulated sugar plus more for glasses
Juice of 2 oranges
8 oz frozen cranberries
For the cocktail:
2–3 ounces of silver tequila
1 ounce Cointreau
Instructions
- Skewer 4 cranberries through the stick. Set aside. Combine corn syrup and water together and whisk.
- Place sugar on a small plate. Brush the cranberry sticks with the syrup mixture. Roll in the sugar and place in the freezer for at least 1 hour. These can be made a day ahead.
- In a saucepan over a medium heat, combine orange juice, cranberries and sugar together and bring to a boil for 5-7 minutes. Puree in a blender.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add 2 tablespoons puree, 2-3 ounces tequila and cointreau. Shake for 15 seconds and pour into a short glass rimmed with sugar. Top with cranberry stick. Enjoy!
