Make it a party with these Hot Dogs 3 ways for your next party. In my opinion, these are the best mix of hot dogs out there.
There is nothing like a good party with some equally good food. Since I have been living here I do love a good hot dog at a party. And I think America does grilling unlike anywhere else in the world. But…a bad hot dog is a REALLY bad thing. I mean come on, you buy the buns and the dog, you literally do not have to do much to amp them up and bring them to another level. Just with a few extra ingredients you’ve in fact got yourself a hot dog bar! Whenever there are hungry mouths to feed at a party, this is definitely going to be popular.
When are we going to Grill?
This weekend is the 4th of July and so it’s time to get your BBQ on. So above all, I hope this mix of hot dog variations are the hit at your BBQ this weekend. If you don’t get to it this weekend, at least save this combo for Labor Day. But regardless of when you do it, let’s grill and get it right!
Hot Dogs 3 Ways Tips:
- Firstly, buy some good hot dog buns from your grocery store or bakery. I love a brioche bun that is becoming more widely available. Basically don’t be tempted to go for the cheap old buns. They won’t taste great and they certainly won’t add anything to your hot dogs.
- Toast your hot dog bun with some melted butter…so good!
- Unquestionably, buy a good quality hot dog for your party. A bad hot dog is a bad hot dog. Generally the low cost multi-packs taste, well, exactly as you would expect los cost multi-packs to taste! So go high end if you can. I like this brand Applegate.
- I like to grill my hot dogs for about 3-4 minutes each side, because I love those black grill marks on my hot dogs.
- Keep cooked hot dogs in aluminum foil and on the top shelf of your BBQ grill until the hungry mouths are ready for them
- Prep all your topping ingredients the night before to make for an easy BBQ. This is certainly worth it if you are expecting lots of guests.
- I like to preheat the grill for a good 10 minutes, then I start my grilling. Don’t be tempted to start grilling too soon!
- Franks Hot Sauce is my go-to hot sauce for anything buffalo. This brand is just so good. Undoubtedly worth a try if you don’t have it already.
