These Crispy Spicy Chickpeas are surely to die for. I can in fact eat a whole can of chickpeas in one sitting! These are also perfect for cheeseboards!
So, these chickpeas are ideal for cocktail parties! They are honestly so good to have out whilst drinks are served, and they certainly make a great alternative to your standard nuts or olives. In fact, make them at any time when you are looking for interesting nibbles and accompaniments. Furthermore they make a great topping for other dishes. Basically this is a super easy side dish that has loads of possiblities. You can’t go wrong with them, especially for parties and gatherings. So go ahead and enjoy!
Tips on making these chickpeas:
- Moisture is not your friend while trying to make these chickpeas super crisp. Dry them in a towel.
- Drain and then rinse the chickpeas.
- Dry them with a towel because this will take away most of the moisture. (This is also key to making crispy chickpeas.)
- You can in fact use any types of your favorite herbs and spices in these. I certainly love just using Old Bay Seasoning too! Surprisingly simple, right?

Crispy Spicy Chickpeas
These Crispy Spicy Chickpeas are surely to die for. I can in fact eat a whole can of chickpeas in one sitting! These are also perfect for cheeseboards!

Ingredients
2 15-ounce cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed and dried
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Toss all ingredients on a nonstick baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 30 minutes
