Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, divided
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 large egg yolks
1 tabelspoons vanilla extract
8oz bittersweet chocolate chips, coarsely chopped
3/4 cup homemade caramel sauce cooled
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking soda together in a bowl.
- Mix butter and both sugars together until pale and fluffy. Add eggs in two batches and mix for 30 seconds more in a mixer. Add in vanilla and mix for 5 seconds. Fold in chocolate and let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Scoop out dough using a 2-inch ice cream scoop and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make an indentation in the center and pour roughly a teaspoon of caramel sauce into the center.
- Bake in the center of the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
